Seed Collecting Day

Join us at the Bottled Bean for coffee and some conversation before heading into the woods for our Seed Collecting Day!

The DNR nursery needs our help collecting seeds from native plant species. By participating, we can help provide the DNR with the seeds needed to build its future inventory of native plants. Eventually, our chapter will be able to use these plants in future habitat projects.

The best part? The DNR will pay our chapter for the seeds we collect based on the pounds of berries harvested. Those funds will go directly toward future habitat projects, making this a win-win for our chapter and wildlife!

Bird dogs are welcome!

Schedule:

10:00 AM – Meet at the Bottled Bean in Minocqua for coffee and a social hour
10:45 AM – Head to the woods for seed collection
1:00 PM – Tailgate lunch with brats / burgers provided by the chapter
3:00 PM – Wrap up seed collection

Come spend a morning outdoors, help the DNR, and support future habitat projects in our area!
